History

Lois and Bill Giniecki owned and farmed the land we now call Country Gardens of Niskayuna (Click here for picture of Country Gardens Nursery and Farm). They ran the farm for 34 years selling annuals, perennials, fruits,and vegetables. Just before closing down for the winter they sold Christmas trees, wreaths , and assorted holiday decorations. In 2012 Lois and Bill sold the farm and retired. Malone and Tate Builders purchased the property and built our beautiful condominium complex. Malone and Tate asked Lois if they could name the street after her. She hesitated at first, wondering if people would want to live on a street named after a comic book news reporter. However, when people found out they thought it was a terrific idea having seen her work like a superwoman all those years. So, aptly our private road became Lois Lane and our complex retained the name Country Gardens of Niskayuna.
